McLaren 650S rumored to bet getting GTR version

Exciting news coming from the Dutch media. They report that McLaren will be unveiling a "GTR" version of the 650S, which will have more power and less weight than the regular version.

While the "GTR" moniker is not confirmed, we do know that the car will not use the "650S' moniker. This version of the 650S will use a more powerful 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. In the 650S that engine makes 650 HP and 678 Nm of torque. No word on what that will increase to though. The new model will also get a 100 kg weight reduction too.

There will also be some styling changes which will make the car look more aggressive. Some of those design cues will be taken from the P1.

This model is going to debut in early March at the Geneva Motor Show. It may also be revealed online next month.
