No not Formula 1, THE F1.

According to the boys in Woking the 650S does the dash to 124 mph a full second faster than the old F1. 650S also does the 1/4 in 10.5 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds faster than the F1.

To be honest I'm not sure those numbers are something to be really boasting about. the F1 is 20 something years old! Looks better too...

It might be faster than the F1, but the F1 is just an epic classic. I still want an F1

The F1's design did not really stand the test of time. And I agree that the bar should not be a car from 20 years ago. I want to know how the McLaren 650S stacks up to modern cars not these relics.

id be worried if the new mclaren can't even out perform the mclaren from the past.

I think the F1 design could have used a face lift but for some reason it stopped where it did. Just imagine if they were like ferrari and kept tweaking the design and released many more models like it, like now.

yea they stopped after the F1

they didnt exactly fly off the shelves
it was kind of a one off. not as production ready as say the 12c or the new p1.

You got that right, at least it's one of those cars that went down in history, and even till today people really want them just that they are hard to find.

I thought it was cool that back in those days they called their production vehicle an F1, just one more way to make it even more special

well the Mclaren F1 had a seat in the middle. Was very powerfu land lightweight

In a way people looked at it like a Formula One car.. But of course today its not as special with all the other supercars with similar performance and achievements.
