Supercars never get crash tested, just crashed

I was reading a Business Week article about the Porsche that Paul Walker crashed in. They were talking about how institutions like NHTSA and IIHS buy every car that they crash test. Due to budget issues and since supercars sell in such low volumes, supercars just don't get crash tested often at all.

Supercars go so fast that it would be very good to know how they would hold up in a crash. In the same way that you have to pay more to insure these cars, it would also be good to know how they crash since there is a higher risk.

Are you concerned about the crash safety of your supercar? Do you think that this is a problem generally?

LOL (but not really)

That is true. At least it seems true from what I see in the news on auto sites.

Do you think that the lack of crash testing makes it so that manufacturers are more likely to cut more corners when it comes to safety in these vehicles?
