Mr.Sullivan I just find the typical reviews, owners nonwithstanding, are typically fan boy topgearish. And its not just with supercars, idiocy like skidpad ratings for a cute ute and 0-60 times for a pickup truck. WHO CARES!

Mr.Big If you aren't a street racer or going to the track all the time, this is basically when people will get to drive the 650S. Go to the movies, go to the store, go to the dentist. Basically you just find any excuse that you can to take it out for a spin.

I'd always ask my family to time how long it takes me to get to the store and back driving the 650S. So I'm pretty much just a big kid.

Mr.Sullivan
The Practical Supercar

Forbes has run out of superlatives so they turned to practical instead. Thats the truth, they even admit it themselves!

Quote:
The McLaren 650S is unlikely to be a buyerís only car. It will likely join a stable of other vehicles ó some designed to transport the family, some designed for commuting, some for executive transport. Maybe there will be another supercar in the family. I can guarantee that if I had a stable of cars that included the 650S, Iíd be seeking out opportunities to drive the McLaren. Need to pop down to the 7-Eleven for some milk? Iíll go in the McLaren. Need someone to drop off that envelope at the post office? Iíll go in the McLaren. Just donít expect me to come right home. I may be driving for a while.
I will say it was a relatively refreshing take on the typical review!
